Journeying to your healthiest you!

IN PERSON SESSIONS:

For in office appointments please know that your safety is our priority. The following safeguards have been implemented for your safety and the safety of our team.

  • Clients with flu-like symptoms or who have been in close contact with someone who has recently tested positive for COVID-19 are required to reschedule/cancel your appointment, or shift to an online option for your appointment.
  • Clients are required to sanitize their hands and allow their temperature to be taken upon entrance.
  • Clients and Counselors are required to wear masks throughout the session. If you forgot yours don’t worry, we are happy to provide one for you. Surgical masks and KN95 masks are preferred. It is encouraged that the mask makes a proper seal around your nose, face and chin for the best protection.
  • Counselors will perform sanitation of common areas in between each appointment.
  • We value the safety as well as the privacy of all our clients and discourage bringing family members that will occupy the waiting areas unless intended to participate in sessions.
  • Waiting inside the building will be for clients only (no more than 5 mins before session time). If you are waiting on your loved one you are welcomed to wait outside in your private vehicle or return for them after their session.
  • In the event there is a restriction on movement as imposed by the Government we will automatically shift all clients to Telehealth (online) platforms.

For in office appointments please know that your safety is our priority. The following safeguards have been implemented for your safety and the safety of our team.

HOW WE PROTECT CLIENTS AND STAFF:

  • Apart from masks being worn during sessions, counselors and clients must maintain a 6ft distance.
  • Furniture has been adapted with materials that make it easier to sanitize and stay clean.
  • Online sessions are a possibility over a variety of Telehealth platforms such as Whatsapp Video, FaceTime, Zoom, Google meet and Skype.
  • All our commonly touched surfaces are sanitized regularly between clients and at the beginning and end of every day.
  • We operate by appointment only and we do not accept walk-ins.

A cancelled appointment hurts three people: you, your therapist, and another client who could have potentially utilized your time slot. Therapy sessions are scheduled in advance and are a time reserved exclusively for our clients. When a session is cancelled without adequate notice, we are unable to fill this time slot by offering it to another current client, a client on the wait list, or a client with a clinical emergency.

We understand that unexpected things happen and we will be as flexible as the schedule will allow. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please message our administrative assistant or your therapist as soon as possible. Due to the heavy demand for services, we urgently request you cancel 1 day (24 hours) in advance of your scheduled appointment time. Appointments not canceled 24 hours in advance will carry a full session cancellation fee. Cancellation fees will be added to the next scheduled session. Cancellation of 3 consecutive appointments or 2 No-Shows may result in the cancellation of your appointment slot. Notification of this will be provided by the administrative assistant or your therapist.

At least 7 days’ notice is requested for any planned extended holiday or other break, we charge the cost of one session as a holding fee to reserve your slot while you are away for breaks longer than one week.

Payment for service is due before or at the time services are rendered, unless other prior arrangements are made. Accepted forms of payment are cash, E-kyash, direct deposit, or Credit/Debit card.

Your discussions with your therapist and any notes they write will not be disclosed to any other person without your consent. Exceptions to this would be if your therapist is required to disclose information by a court of law, or in order to protect you or another person from significant harm. In addition, therapists are required by their profession to have regular supervision sessions where they may discuss aspects of your treatment. They will not reveal your identity during these sessions.

If your physical or mental health deteriorates to a point of serious concern or your therapist believes that you are a significant risk to yourself or others then they may, without your consent, contact a friend or family member, your GP or psychiatrist, or the emergency services.

Thank you for your understanding. Your therapist looks forward to beginning this therapeutic journey alongside you!
